Judicial Discipline Rule-Making Committee
The Colorado Judicial Discipline Rule-Making Committee was created to establish rules for the formal judicial discipline process, in accordance with House Concurrent Resolution 23-1001 and the passage of Amendment H approved by Colorado voters in November 2024.
Pursuant to Amendment H, the rule-making committee consists of four members appointed by the Supreme Court, four appointed by the Independent Judicial Discipline Adjudicative Board, four appointed by the Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline, and one victim’s advocate appointed by the Governor. The members of the rule-making committee are:

The Judicial Discipline Rule-Making Committee has approved three interim rules. Notice can be found here.
- Interim Rule 3.6: Code of Conduct for Adjudicative Board Members (effective June 5, 2025)

The Committee will hold a public comment hearing on October 3, 2025, at 9 AM at 1300 Broadway, Denver, Colorado, 80203 in room 2A. A virtual option is also available. Instructions on how to register to submit either a written or an oral comment can be found in the notice of public comment hearing.
The deadline for submitting both written and oral comments is on or before 5 PM on September 30, 2025.
The Judicial Discipline Rule-Making Committee has begun drafting revisions to the Rules of Judicial Discipline. The Committee welcomes feedback on proposed rule changes from the public. The process for submitting that feedback is described in the PDF linked below.
